Dr Lucy Kissick has a PhD in planetary geochemistry from the University of Oxford and now lives in Cumbria, UK, as a nuclear scientist.

Plutoshine is her first novel and won the inaugural Bloomsbury Writers & Artists Working-Class Writers' Prize.
